Hello, We are Becca and Fiona, Founders of Future Focus

Between us we have over 40 years’ experience as careers professionals, supporting young people in secondary school and higher education navigate their next steps. We have worked in a huge variety of educational settings, state and private secondary schools, FE Colleges, and universities including King’s College London, Leeds, LSE, Queen Mary University London, SOAS and Surrey.

We have a great depth of knowledge about the vast array of opportunities available to young people and how to support you and your family to navigate these successfully.

We both hold the Qualification in Careers Guidance (Level 7) which is the highest industry standard and are Registered Career Development Professionals (RCDP) with the Career Development Institute (CDI). It is really important to us that we can provide this reassurance of our training and credibility and we abide by the code of ethics of the CDI of which we are both members. We continually update our own professional training and keep up to date with the latest news in the world of education and work.

Meet Future Focus Careers

Becca Hallam

Becca has worked as a careers professional for over 20 years, mainly in Secondary and Higher Education. Becca has worked at Russel Group universities, independent and state schools and currently works at a local FE College and with private clients. This broad range of experience gives Becca a unique understanding of the world of work young people are entering and what is needed to succeed, alongside a deep understanding of the school and university systems. The choices facing young people can be overwhelming and it is Becca's passion to support individuals by helping them learn about themselves, where they may fit in the world of work and how to navigate their path successfully. Becca helps with decision making, but more importantly provides young people with the skills and knowledge they need to manage their future successfully regardless of whether their path is straight or windy, clear or not. The unique perspective Becca has in understanding what employers look for and how the world of work operates, with a deep knowledge of the school and university system allows her to guide young people to transition between them successfully.
